Anxiety Therapy in Atlanta
Anxiety in some cases can be a natural response to a big move, a new job, or a test coming up. Everyone has some level of anxiety that can be healthy to help them move through or stay motivated.
However, in some cases, excessive amounts of anxiety can leave us feeling paralyzed, panicked, or lost.
If anxiety is showing up excessively in your life and getting in the way of your goals, it may be time to consider therapy.
Some signs that you may be struggling with anxiety:
Obsessive or ruminating thoughts and ruminating on events, leaving you feeling exhausted
Overplanning, trying to control things out of your control
Difficulty falling or staying asleep
Shortness of breath, increased heart rate
Having a sense of impending danger, panic, or doom
Trouble concentrating or feeling paralyzed in making decisions
Having these feelings of constant worry or panic can feel isolating. However, you are not alone. 1.4 million Georgia residents have a mental health condition and 44.3% of those individuals reported symptoms of anxiety and depression. (NAMI)
Often individuals without support or help go on to struggle with anxiety. Without support or assistance, anxiety can continue to disrupt your life, worry and fear continue to control life, and day-to-day activities get hard to navigate.

How does anxiety therapy at The Healing Spot work?
Anxiety therapy at The Healing Spot begins with a 15-minute consultation to ensure we would be a good fit for you.
Afterward, your intake session will be scheduled with your therapist where you explore more about your anxiety.
Some of the questions we will explore:
Do you remember when your anxiety started?
How frequently does your anxiety show up?
How do you know when you are anxious?
What are the current ways you cope with your anxiety?
What would it look like to ‘feel okay’ again?
Your intake session may expand over a few session so that we can get to know you. We want to understand other parts of your life (family, work, social, etc.) so that we can get a good picture of how anxiety may be impacting your life.
We will take the time to identify a strategy and goals to assist you in improving your anxiety.
