Clinical hypnotherapy in Atlanta and online

Change that begins beneath the surface.

Some patterns don't shift no matter how much you understand them. Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind, where habits, beliefs, and body responses actually live, so the change you want can take root at its source.

Why insight alone isn't always enough

You can know exactly why you react the way you do and still find yourself reacting. That's because the thinking mind is only a small part of the picture. Most of what drives us runs quietly underneath: the protective habits we learned early, the beliefs we absorbed before we had words for them, the way the body braces before we notice we're afraid.

Hypnotherapy guides you into a focused, deeply relaxed state where the subconscious becomes more accessible and more open to new learning. From there, we can gently update old patterns rather than fighting them with willpower.

It isn't what you've seen on TV

Stage shows and movies have taught most of us to picture hypnosis as mind control. Clinical hypnotherapy is something very different: collaborative, consensual, and grounded in your goals.

You'll lose control.

You stay in charge the whole time. You can hear me, speak, move, and open your eyes whenever you choose. Nothing happens without your consent.

You'll be unconscious or asleep.

You'll be relaxed and aware. Most people describe it like the absorbed state of a good book or a long drive: calm, focused, and present.

You'll do or say something embarrassing.

You won't act against your values. Hypnosis can't make you do anything you don't want to do. Your protective parts stay with you.

One session fixes everything.

Real change is a process. Like any meaningful therapy, hypnotherapy builds over a series of sessions shaped around you.

Built around you, not a script

There are no generic recordings here. Every session is designed for your history, your nervous system, your language, and what you want to be different in your life.

3 to 8

sessions is the typical range for noticeable, lasting change. Some goals shift quickly; deeper patterns may take a little longer. We'll check in together along the way and adjust as you go.

  3. Sessions

Each session includes grounding, guided hypnosis tailored to you, and time to reflect on what came up.

Common questions

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Most people can experience hypnosis. It's a natural state you already move in and out of every day. Some people settle in quickly and others take a few sessions to feel comfortable, and both are completely normal.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients notice meaningful change within 3 to 8 sessions. The number depends on your goals and how long the pattern has been in place. We'll review your progress together and decide on next steps as we go.

What does a session feel like?

Many people describe deep relaxation, heaviness or lightness in the body, and a sense of time moving differently. You remain aware throughout and can pause at any point.

Is hypnotherapy safe for trauma survivors?

When it's offered by a trauma informed clinician, yes. Sessions are paced to your window of tolerance and grounded in somatic awareness, and we'll talk openly about your comfort before we begin.

Can sessions happen online?

Yes. Hypnotherapy is available in person at our Atlanta office and by secure telehealth for clients located in Georgia, Florida, California, and South Carolina.
