Does This Sound Familiar?

I know it happened in the past, but I can't move forward. People have told me to move forward. Previous therapy helped me to understand, but there's something deeper inside of me that won't let me feel like myself. I seem to be doing okay in day-to-day life, but at night, the thoughts, the flashbacks, and the nightmares invade my mind. I have negative self-talk. I often feel on edge. I mean, I know what I should be doing, but I can't do it. I feel broken.

What's Actually Happening
The Body Holds the Story

Logically, you know it's the past. Somatically, your body never got the memo.

Unresolved childhood trauma often lives in the body long after it has ended. It shows up as anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic tension, difficulty making decisions, or trusting others.

You might logically understand your past — yet your body still reacts as if you are unsafe. You've tried the affirmations, the journaling, the deep breathing, the thought-challenging. And it hasn't been enough. That's not a failure. That's your nervous system doing exactly what it was designed to do.

High-Functioning on the Outside

Competent adults — still reacting like that scared, unseen child.

Many clients come to me as capable, high-functioning adults on the outside — but inside, they're still running on old survival responses written decades ago, based on experiences they had no control over.

It's as if your nervous system never got the memo that the danger has passed. That's where I come in — to gently help your body update that blueprint, so it can begin to learn what safety, connection, and ease feel like now.

The Root of It

Your nervous system is still protecting you
from a danger that has already passed.

Childhood trauma doesn't just leave memories — it leaves a blueprint in your body. Your nervous system learned to survive, and it's been loyal to that blueprint ever since. Healing isn't about erasing the past. It's about gently teaching your body that it is finally, truly safe.

A Multimodal, Embodied Approach

Rather than just talking about trauma —
we help your nervous system process and release it.

In sessions, I blend four evidence-based modalities that work together to support healing at the level of body, mind, and spirit — inviting your whole self into the process.

Somatic Experiencing

Tracking sensations in the body to help your nervous system complete the survival responses that got frozen in time — gently and at your own pace.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Exploring the parts of you shaped by childhood — including the young, wounded parts that are still waiting to be seen, heard, and cared for.

EMDR

Processing and desensitizing traumatic memories so they no longer hold the same emotional charge — helping your brain rewire toward more adaptive, present-moment beliefs.

Crystal Sound Bowl Healing

Using sound vibration and resonance to ground, integrate, and close sessions — supporting the body in absorbing and settling the healing work.

Your body leads. I follow with care and intention.

Our sessions are gentle, paced to your nervous system, and fully collaborative. There is no agenda beyond what your body and your system are ready for. You are never pushed — only gently invited.

01

Somatic tracking to start

We begin by noticing what's happening in your body — building a felt sense of safety and presence before going anywhere deeper.

02

Exploring parts with IFS

We meet the parts of you shaped by childhood — the protectors, the inner critics, the young ones still waiting to be seen.

03

Processing through EMDR

When the system is ready, we use EMDR to gently reprocess and desensitize the memories that still carry charge.

04

Grounding with sound bowls

We close with crystal sound bowl work to integrate the session — settling the body and anchoring new neural pathways.

You're not broken.
You're holding wisdom.

Let's help your body remember what safety, connection, and ease can feel like. You deserve to carry your story without being crushed by it.
