What we're here to do
At The Healing Spot, our mission is to provide trauma-informed, somatic therapy that centers the healing of BIPOC, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and non-traditional individuals. Through culturally-affirming, body-based practices — including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Experiencing — we help clients reconnect with their inner wisdom, process unresolved trauma, and reclaim their full, authentic selves.
We are committed to creating a liberatory space that honors the complexity of identity, resists oppressive systems, and supports sustainable healing.
Where we're going
Our vision is to become a nationally recognized center for decolonized, somatic trauma healing — empowering individuals and training professionals to engage in embodied, anti-oppressive care.
Over the next five years, The Healing Spot will expand into a thriving collective offering therapy, coaching, retreats, and educational programs that uplift marginalized communities. We envision a world where healing is accessible, culturally-rooted, and grounded in the wisdom of the body.
